Consultant

With over 7 years of experience in digital strategy and innovation, I know how organisations really work, and where change tends to get stuck. My focus is on the intersection of business, technology and innovation. I move between strategy and execution, making sure complex challenges become concrete and actionable. As a certified Design Thinking Facilitator, I design and facilitate workshops that deliver more than a wall full of sticky notes.

My talent

Simplifying. I often notice that people talk past each other, making things unnecessarily complicated. Because I speak both the language of business and IT, I help these two worlds understand each other again.

How do I like to do that? In a workshop where everyone walks out with more energy than they came in with. No endless presentations, just working together on something that actually moves forward afterwards. Simple, right?

People and organizations that inspire me

Maybe not the most obvious choice, but I find the work of Dieter Rams incredibly inspiring. Rams is a German product designer who created products in the 1950s that still exist today. He believed in ten principles of good design, the most well-known being: ‘good design is as little design as possible.’

That’s also what I try to do as an innovator: not the most complicated solutions, but the clearest ones. And maybe that’s the most beautiful form of sustainability: making something that still does its job twenty years from now.

What I like to do in my spare time

Where do I start?

Vintage design (think: browsing design books, scouring markets, digging through thrift stores), photography, running, reading, playing board games in a brown café (Keer op Keer 2 remains the favourite), drinking Guinness with friends on a terrace, visiting museums, and so on.
