Hi! I’m Julia Alberga, a service designer and researcher, and I’ve been working independently for almost 10 years now. I work with a range of clients, primarily in the public sector. I really enjoy contributing to services that affect people’s everyday lives and make a meaningful difference.

My talent

I’m good at seeing the bigger picture, building bridges and connecting different parts of a journey or process. I also enjoy facilitating Design Sprints and co-creation sessions, making sure every voice is heard and helping teams work together towards a solution.

People and organizations that inspire me

I’m inspired by people who have the courage to try things and put themselves out there. They can come from all walks of life, both within my own field and far beyond it.

One person I really admire is my seven-year-old son, simply for having the confidence to start breakdancing in the middle of his classroom when asked what he loves doing most.

Professionally, I also find organisations such as the Service Design Network (SDN) and Valsplat very inspiring.
