She has held commercial and leadership roles in asset management and innovation at companies including DSM and Stork.<br \/>Over the past two and a half years, she has served as innovation director at the renowned soil research company Fugro. \u201cWith my team of 300 engineers and scientists, we worked on the latest techniques to make geotechnical and geophysical investigations better, faster, safer, and lower in carbon footprint, particularly for maritime and offshore applications,\u201d she says.<br \/><br \/>De Jager also has extensive experience in consulting. She began her career at PwC, where she worked as a strategy consultant on numerous assignments in the manufacturing industry. At Accenture, she served as managing director, leading the European intelligent asset management practice.<br \/><br \/>\u201cDuring this period, the \u2018industry 4.0\u2019 agenda truly took shape,\u201d she reflects. \u201cSuddenly, there were far more opportunities to capture data from systems and processes and use it for optimization.\u201d<br \/><br \/>De Jager and her team supported capital-intensive companies across engineering, manufacturing, asset management, and safety. Initially, their focus was on the chemicals, oil, gas, and metals sectors.
